Principal Universal Life Protector IVSM (UL Protector IV) replaces Principal Universal Life Protector IIISM (UL Protector III) on May 22, 2011. UL Protector IV is not yet approved in all states. There will be a 30-day transition period in which both UL Protector III and UL Protector IV are available. The transition period runs from May 23, 2011 to June 24, 2011.
