Minnesota State Government Shut Down
As you may be aware, the Minnesota State Government shut down June 30 at midnight. Due to the shutdown, Minnesota will not be processing any agent appointment or termination requests until a budget is reached and the Government re-opens. What does this mean to you? We will not be able to submit new agent appointments (licenses) to the State of Minnesota which may have impacts to the ability to submit/issue new business and/or place agents on existing books of business where the State of Issue is Minnesota.

Please encourage producers to register for Electronic Funds Transfer--it's easy and simplifies the online draft authorization process. Producers can register by printing out the Auto-Pay Authorization Form and faxing it to the Field Accounting department at 800-477-7683. To access the form, click here. Or, you can obtain a copy by going to TransACT® , clicking on Tools, eOrdering, Transamerica Forms and Advanced Search. After selecting the Company name, then under Service Type, click on Contracting & Licensing, Lookup and then locate the Auto-Pay Authorization form. For questions, please call Field Accounting at 800-256-7971, option 2.
New Business Tip: Fast Started Cases Help Ensure Quicker Cycle Time
Make sure that when producers fast start a case, they provide a policy number when faxing/imaging to the New Business department. Doing so--along with submitting all corresponding forms with the application--will significantly decrease policy cycle time. In many cases, policies can be submitted and issued within three business days or less.
