On Wednesday of last week, Genworth reported preliminary results for the second quarter of 2011. I'd like to share some highlights and perspectives on the announcement. As we explained in our news release, Genworth reported an estimated net operating loss of $70-90 million for the quarter, which includes our decision to strengthen loss reserves in our U.S. Mortgage Insurance (USMI) business. This decision is a result of worsening trends in recent experience in USMI as well as related market trends in an environment of continuing weakness in the U.S. residential mortgage market. This reserve strengthening, together with USMI operating performance, will result in an operating loss of $250 million to $255 million for the quarter in the USMI segment.
