Take Care of Your Finances with Genworth RateSaver 7
When your client says they are waiting for rates to rise, urge them to take care of their finances now and get their money working! Don’t let them wait until the last minute and discover that waiting did them no good. Remind them:
-
Rates are lower now than they were last year at this time.
-
They may be sacrificing more than $1,500 per year in tax deferred earnings (comparing 5 yr avg. $100k CD from Bankrate.com 07/22/11 at 1.64% vs. Genworth Rate Saver 7 yr. $100k at 3.15% effective 07/27/11). Ask them what they would do with the extra $7,500 that their $100k earned in 7 years!
-
The last time rates were over 4% was October 2008 and it does not appear that rate will return anytime soon.
